Comprehensive Events Payrolling for Professional Sports League

In order to comply with the new laws requiring event workers to be paid instead of being volunteers, a professional sports league required the services of a payroll partner to support a major sporting event. Atrium, having previously managed large-scale events for a globally renowned sports organization, was selected to provide payrolling services in what became a successful partnership.

A professional sports league needed a trusted payrolling partner for its annual baseball festival. This partnership was necessary to ensure the league was following employment laws and regulations, which included making sure their employees were paid on time and had adequate workers’ compensation coverage.

Atrium was introduced to the client through a partnership with the area Host Committee, which was established to support another major sporting event earlier that year. Based on this relationship, the league chose Atrium to support the 2022 and 2023 baseball festival events.

Atrium partnered with the league to successfully onboard ~500 Experience Team Members within two weeks in 2022. The Atrium team provided on-site support, assisting with check-in/check-out, general inquiries, and payroll file creation for ~400 Experience Team Members who worked scheduled shifts.

Given the partnership’s success in its first year, Atrium was invited to support the client again in 2023. The Atrium team onboarded 500+ Experience Team Members within a two-week timeframe and processed payment for 400+ Experience Team members who worked scheduled shifts. Atrium again provided on-site support.
